Eurasian Parlamentarian Forum

The Regional Parliamentarians Forum of the Eurasian Region "Monitoring and Evaluation for Greater Effectiveness of Parliaments"  was successfully held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic on June 6-7, 2019.

The Forum was organized by the Kyrgyz parliament with the support of the National Monitoring and Evaluation Network in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Eurasian Alliance of National Evaluation Associations, and financial support from UNICEF, UNFPA and other partners.

Around 90 participants, including parliamentarians and government officials, representatives of evaluation societies from the Eurasian region, as well as representatives of international organizations, international and local experts, NGOs and research organizations participated in the Forum to discuss effective approaches to the creation of national monitoring and evaluation systems, the role of Parliaments and ways of collaboration between Parliament, Government, and civil society in building national evaluation systems and implementing SDGs. 

One of the results of the event was the establishment of the Regional Parliamentarians Forum in Eurasia and deeper understanding on Parliamentarian role in building National evaluation systems for greater effectiveness and development on country levels.
