I've been awarded the degree of Master of Cooperation and Development from university of Pavia & IUSS from Italy. My academic profile is comprised of advanced degrees in International Cooperation and Development with emphasis on humanitarian law, economics, gender and democracy in conflict settings.
I've long experience in evaluation, designing data collection tools and systems for the M&E of complex recovery and private sector development programs, mainly in Gaza, but also in the West Bank. I am well versed in a variety of methods for gathering and analyzing data from program partners, beneficiaries and other key stakeholders to ensure data quality, to draw accurate conclusions to inform decision making, and to promote learning within and among implementers and other stakeholders. I've an extensive experience in effectively transmitting technical information to various audiences through reporting and evaluation. Many of her consultancies required the use of evaluation data collection tools, and data analysis--often under challenging conditions.
She utilizes a mixed-methods approach with a focus on both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, focusing mainly on the OECD/DAC Criteria for International Development Evaluations as the underlying framework informing all stages of the evaluation. She takes gender-sensitive and evidence-based approach into account during evaluations. Also, my experience made her aware of the gender mainstreaming agenda and the norms and principles outlined in the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, the Beijing Platform for Action and the sustainable Development Goals, etc. In addition, a clear expertise in gender mainstreaming research, writing and advocacy, GBV and Women’s Rights issues particularly in the MENA region.

I worked on extensive international portfolio includes assignments for: DFID, the USAID, UNICEF, FAO, the EU, UNDP-PAPP, Oxfam, Quaker Services and SCI. Currently, she is working with a Gender Socioeconomic Analyst in the west bank under FAO assignment. Gender Socio-Economic Analysis to analyze the gender responsive value chain. This gender sensitive value chain analysis aims at studying the differences in the conditions, needs, participation rates, access to resources and development, control of assets, decision-making powers, participation, etc. Also, it identifies needs and opportunities for women empowerment and gender mainstreaming in agricultural interventions, as well as identify programming opportunities, strengths, gaps, lessons learned and recommended strategies for designing a gender-responsive food assistance and Food Social Safety nets programme.
Recently, she conducted an assessment of the cash for work (CfW) intervention implemented by UN Women project partner; the Women’s Affairs Centre (WAC). The assessment was implemented in the framework of UN Women’s project “Protection, Response and Preparedness to Address Needs of Displaced and Vulnerable Women in Gaza (April 2018 – March 2019) supported by the Government of Japan. The assessment measured the access to and quality of CfW assistance for women and girls as well as the changes relating to women’s primary and strategic needs.
Also, she participated (among a team of three consultants from west bank) in conducting a final evaluation of OXFAM, UK Foreign and Commonwealth (FCO) funded project “Promoting the Needs of Women in Conflict in MENA”. Focusing on the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) thematic pillar from Oxfam International’s MENA regional gender justice strategy, the project operates in Iraq, the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT), and Yemen.
I worked on the final evaluation of the "Stop Violence against Women project" implemented by Community Media Center (CMC), Gaza and funded by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women. The experience witnessed the commitment to evaluation that is responsive to gender equality and women’s rights, and in alignment with the UNEG norms and standards, the UNEG ethical guidelines and the handbook Integrating Human Rights and Gender Equality in Evaluation.
Additionally, I participated in the development of a mid-term review (MTR) of the OXFAM Novib’s AMAL Programme: “Supporting Women’s Transformative Leadership at Changing Times in the MENA Region.”
From 2013 to 2017, i was a team member conducting third-party performance monitoring of all USAID-funded projects in Gaza, giving her exceptional knowledge and understanding of USAID’s M&E needs and requirements.
From a wide range of experiences in different INGOs and Palestinian Civil Society actors and Women CBOs, and grass roots organizations , I have gained how to compile lessons learned and best practices, to generate knowledge to inform duty bearers at policy and intervention level and to analyze and addressed the structures that contribute to inequalities experienced by women, men, girls and boys, especially those experiencing multiple forms of exclusion. The whole work experience and strong interpersonal and communications skills have greatly contributed to her success as a consultant. She is able to lead and train effective multi-functional team.
