I am an international expert in program and policy evaluation with extensive experience in the public sector policy, governance and institutional development. With more than 18 years of experience, I have diligently conducted various evaluations and EU ROM assignments to various complex programs and projects in humanitarian/fragile context and conflict-affected environment including Jordan and Lebanon. I served on various Evaluation Reference Groups for a couple of humanitarian programs and projects in MENA. Most recently, I have led 2 complex evaluation assignments for the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the Economic and Social Commission for West Asia (ESCWA). In addition, I have coordinated various initiatives aiming at strengthening national evaluation capacities and systems in various part of the world.
I have a breadth of knowledge of the various policy frameworks, planning models and evaluation approaches. I have engaged with multiple UN agencies and development partners and facilitated consultation workshops with a variety of stakeholders. Besides, I have engaged in various academic and policy driven discussions and forums on evaluating the Agenda 2030; drafted dozens of policy briefs and contributed to academic and policy forums (Cambridge/ GRC, among others), co-authored more than 12 EvalSDGs-IIED Policy Briefings published by IIED, and contributed to the recently launched Guide on "Evaluation to connect the SDGs with national priorities: a guide for evaluation commissioners and managers"
