Mr. Ali is Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with extensive knowledge and experience of more than eight years in the management and implementation of complex multi-cultural projects; strategic forward-planning; and research programs. Along his strong analytical skills and critical thinking abilities, he is well conversant with both qualitative and quantitative research methods. His area of focus includes result- based management and evidence-based policy and decisions making in the fields of governance and policy, environmental security and peace-building, humanitarian assistance, public service delivery and development.
Mr. Ali previously worked with national and global organization at both practitioner and managerial roles in Monitoring and evaluation. Among them, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Agency for Cooperation and Technical Development (ACTED), Saferworld International, FAO Somalia, Development Concern (Devon) In recent times, as a senior advisor he supported drafting and finalizing Somalia’s National Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for ninth National Development plan 2020-24. He is currently the chairman of Somalia Evaluation Professional Network (SEPNET.
