I have gained almost 20 years of experience by serving various NGOs and INGOs in different capacities. Just recently, I worked as a GEF Program Development Specialist and was primarily assigned to develop a proposal for the GEF funded project on Restoring Watershed and Livelihoods of Lakhandei. I have also conducted project evaluation for the Family Planning Association of Nepal and the United Mission. I also worked for the Program of Aquatic Natural Resource Improvement (an action research project supported by USAID) as the Watershed Program Manager and took responsibility for planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project. I worked as an NTFP expert and conducted assessment of NTFP and their market potential, developed a business plan and submitted them to Modi rural municipality. I took a lead in the project design funded by the Rufford Foundation and is currently under implementation in Jomsom, Mustang.

I worked as a National Programs Manager for Samaritan's Purse and looked after the Livelihood Recovery and Rehabilitation Program in Nuwakot and Kavre districts from 2015 to 2018. During my tenure, I worked with the monitoring and evaluation team for conducting a baseline and end line survey. I also developed appropriate strategies; mainstream gender and social inclusion; coordinate with line agencies during my tenure. Further, my responsibilities also included liaising with the implementing partner (SAPPROS and Carnet Nepal), building their capacity, reviewing and endorsing the budget and ensuring quality in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.

I worked as Senior Program Officer/Program Officer of the Terai Arc Landscape Program of WWF Nepal from 2010 till 2015. My prime responsibilities were to liaise with the government, non-government and community institutions for the conservation and management of key species and maintain the ecology of the landscape. I financially and programmatically managed nine projects in the Terai Arc Landscape Program which was supported by MFA, DFID, WWF US, Leonardo DiCaprio, US Fishery and Wildlife Service including private donors. I was a focal person for overseeing and managing the projects and was closely involved in developing the log frames, proposals, and budget and also lead planning, implementation, reporting and monitoring. As Program Development Officer I developed concepts and proposals for fundraising based on the field and donor requirements; maintain close coordination with program and related staff, develop a budget, ensure quality and assist the supervisor in reviewing new concepts and proposals. The essential part of my job also included building sound coordination with WWF International, WWF's network, other conservation organizations and government agencies and keeping track of potential donors and their compliance.

Prior to this, I was associated with CARE Nepal as a Livelihood Specialist for SAGUN (Strengthened Actions for Governance in Utilization of Natural Resources supported by USAID) project based in Banke district from 2006to 2009. My core task was to explore opportunities and develop strategies for enhancing the livelihood status of poor, vulnerable and socially excluded natural resource dependent communities. I worked as a Business Development Service Expert for a BDS-MaPS (Business Development Service-Market and Production supported by USAID) project based in the field. The project was designed to create and sustain community based enterprises to raise the income of the rural communities. I also had the opportunity to work for Women’s Enterprise to develop and strengthen enterprises created by women.

Further, my skills include project design, developing log frame, theory of change, planning, implementation, monitoring, report writing, documentation, coordination and collaboration etc. which I deem will be vital for assuming the given position. I am a good team player, having a good work ethic, detail-oriented, working well under pressure and deadlines, working with people from diverse backgrounds and having a positive attitude. I look forward to being a part of Eval Forward and contribute with the best of my skills and knowledge.

Sincerely
