Sarah Longford is a Deputy Director in World Food Programme’s Office of Evaluation and oversees the research and analytics, capacity and quality assurance, communications and knowledge management and administration teams that support centralized, decentralized and impact evaluations at WFP. She has 25 years of operational and managerial experience in the humanitarian and development arena, having worked in policy, programme and logistics for WFP, as well as in humanitarian coordination for the UN Secretariat. Her most recent field posting was as Deputy Country Director for WFP in Nigeria but during her career has been based in Angola, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Italy, Sudan, and South Africa.
