Alia Taresh Qahtan

Alia is a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager and Technical Consultant, specializing in M&E and TPM projects. With over eight years of experience in the field, Alia has worked with various national and international agencies and has participated in USAID funded projects such as YMEP II, YMELP, YOFMP and Evaluation, as well as monitoring in EU and FCDO funded projects. Alia has also worked with other clients including OCHA, FAO, and UNDP for their TPM projects. Alia's areas of expertise include qualitative and quantitative data analysis, report writing, translation services, and data quality assurance. As a consultant, Alia has played a key role in developing and reviewing M&E tools and plans, training field monitors, data analysis, and report writing. Some of the international and national NGOs that Alia has worked with for project monitoring and implementation include Save the Children, ACTED, INTERSOS, CSSW, YWU, ADO, DRC, OXFAM, IRY, SDF, AGFD, NFDHR, QRCS, MMF, and others. Currently, Alia is leading one of the three outputs of the Yemen Independent Monitoring (YIM) projects for DFID, which is a three-year project aimed at providing independent monitoring to provide assurance of results being achieved by partners, reduce corruption risks, assist in future DFID funding allocations, and improve program design, due diligence, and learning.
