In recent years there has been heightened emphasis on both the rigorous evaluation of development interventions and systematic reviews and meta-analyses based on such evaluations. The latter have become commonplace as a means to coalesce the existing evidence on a given topic, helping readers to understand large bodies of literature.
This report uses existing systematic reviews, meta-analyses and comprehensive reviews to map and evaluate the evidence regarding the effects of a wide range of development interventions on poverty and hunger.
